Relax
Having dipped your toe in the Irish sea at St Bees on the west coast of Cumbria you are ready to set off on England's Coast to Coast Walk. You will pass through three national Parks before finally reaching the picturesque village of Robin Hoods Bay on the North Sea. Having left St Bees you travel through the Lake District passing through rocky and rugged country via Rosthwaite and Patterdale. From here you encounter the ancient Roman Road system over High Street and through Shap to the old market town of Kirkby Stephen.

Near to Kirby Stephen are Nine Standards Rigg, these are nine tall stone cairns atop of the watershed of Britain. Also worth seeing nearby is Pendragon Castle famed for its connection with the legendary King Arthur.
The splendid Swaledale valley takes you to the historic town of Richmond and on through the vale of Mowbray. After the Cleveland hills you pass into the heart of the heather covered North Yorkshire Moors. Moorland walking makes a fitting conclusion to your Coast to Coast Walk.
Time to saviour the last cliff top views before making your way down to Robin Hoods Bay, and having dipped your toe in the North Sea you have completed the exhilarating Coast to Coast walk.
